SERIOUS CHARGE AGAINST A CLERGYMAN.
Auckland, November IP. From information received from the Km* para police, the Auckland police kulhoritiee to-night arrested the Kev Abraham Riding late Congregational minis' er at Maungaturoto, Kaipara, ou board the steamer Tarawera, just as she was starting for Sydney, on a charge of indecent assault on a boy named William Ohadwia, on November 3. The accused had a steerage passage, and bad only some trifling change of clothing with him, bis books and luggage having arrived too late from Kaipara for the steamer. He was ranch affected on being arrested, and requested permission to take his Bible to his cell with him. He had resigned his charge.
