There was a moderate attendance of specta tore, but heavy rain fell at intervals. The visitors in their first innings scored 175, being 32 more than the Home team. The highest scorers were McDonnell, caught, 26; Midwinter, caught, 52 ; and Spofforth, caught, 24. In the second innings, the Home team only scored 04, the Australians thus requiring only 33 to win the match, ana this number was obtained without the loss of a wicket; the visitors thus winning the match by ten wickets. Owing to the rain the wicket was very heavy.
