Tho attendance was largo, and tho bidding spirited, prices ruling for coarse greasy crossbred from Gd to 7d: half-bred do to B\d. Keen competition for Patea scoured Merino, which realised prices up to Is Sid, Christchurch, March 29. CaiusTctitncH Retail Prices.—Kresh butter, Is 2d per lb ; eggs, Is Gd per dozen ; cheese, 3d to Is per lb ; milk, id per quart; beef, 2d to Gd pe** lb ; mutton, 3d to Id per lb; pork, 7d per lb: ham, Is per lb ; bacon, lOd per lb; Limb, 2s to 3s per quarter. Wholesale produce prices.—llarloy (food). 2s Gd to 3s per bushel; barloy (malting), 4* to 4s 9d per bushel; butter, SJd to 9d par lb ; cheese, (now). 4jd to 6d per lb* flour, from £ll to £ll 10s per ton ; hams and bacon (in cloth), 9d per lb ; hams and bacon (out of cloth), 8d per lb ; oats (feed).
