Drunkenness.—Mary Ann White, charged with this offence, was mulcted in a penalty of ss, and ordered to pay the fee of a medical mau who bad been called in to attend upon her. For having used abusive language at the time she was arrested on Saturday, a further fine of £5, with the alternative of three week’s imprisonment, was imposed. Two persons who made their first appearance on account of inebriety, were each fined ss. Creating a Disturbance. —John Greenfeli, charged with having committed a breach of the peace on Lambton-quay on Saturday night, pleaded not guilty. From the evidence, it appeared that he was under the influence of liquor, and refused to go home with a friend who asked him to do so, challenging him to fight. Fined 20s, with the alternative of 4S hours’ imprisonment. _ Civil. Cases. —ln the following cases judgment was given for plaintiffs:—Stewart and Co. v. W. A. Waters, £l2 lb 6d, judgment summons, ordered to pay within fourteen days, in default twenty-eight days* imprisonment.; G. Bradley v. H.
