His illness is not, however, reported to be of a serious nature. Constantinople, September 26. The Porte has presented a note to the British Ambassador with reference to the present position of affairs in Egypt, asking what steps the British Government propose to take for the withdrawal of the troops whose services are no longer needed in that country.
