o BT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. COPYRIGHT. redter’s TELEGRAMS. (Received September 27, 11.30 a.m.) Alexandria, September 25. The Khedive, accompanied by his Ministers and Sir E. B. Malet, the British Consul-General, arrived at Cairo to-day. The city was brilliantly decorated and illuminated to-night in honor of the British success in Egypt. It has transpired that the Khedive, with the approval of England, has invited Baker Pasha to undertake the reorganisation of the Egyptian army. The task has been accepted by Colonel Baker. (Received September 27, 8.30 p.m.) Alexandria, September 25. H.M.S. Minotaur, the flagship of the Channel Squadron, sails for Aboukir tomorrow to re-embark the marines, and will then proceed to Malta. The remainder of the Squadron will follow at an early date. London, September 26. A despatch has been received from Sir Garnet Wolseley stating that the Khedive has expressed the warmest gratitude to the English nation fjr the assistance rendered during the crisis. The despatch further states that a grand review of the British troops will be held at Cairo on Saturday next. (Received September 27, 10.20 p.m.) Alexandria, September 26.

The Khedive held a crowded reception to-day at the Palace at Cairo. His Highness took occasion, during the reception, to rebuke the TJlemaa for meddling in political matters during the recent crisis.

The reported deposition and imprisonment of the Cheriff of Mecca lacks confirmation. A hospitable reception is being pre pared for the Guards on arrival at Port Said. (Received September 27, 5.15 p.m.) London, September 26, 4.52 p.m. Sir E. Malet advises a permanent garrison of 10,000 men at Alexandria. Sir Archibald Alison will probably be left in command.

The Duke of Connaught leaves Egypt on his return home on Friday.
