The statement of accounts for the half year ended Slat August was laid before the Directors of the South British Insurance Company to-day. The business shows an increase of £-42,149 in premiums as compared with-the corresponding period last year. The balance to credit at the profit and loss account is £26,000, of which £IO,OOO has been carried to the reserve, and the Directors propose paying a dividend at the rate of 15 per cent, per annum.
