Tahiriwabine. ejection to the admission by Manihua. Witness examined, Katnero Te Ean'-i. The decision as to certain of these blocks being made inalienable has been the cause of great grievances between the Europeans and Natives. The decision, so far as I can gather, was given on the representation of Ketir:l Tapabana, that if those interested had the power to sell they would have nothing to fall back on. This is clearly incorrect as far as this district goes, as they will st'll retain come 80 to 100,000 acres. The advice of the asses'-or has clearly only been given from a total ignorance of the district and the holdings of the Natives,, who have p’aced the matter in the hards of the members of the district, Messrs Beetham and Buchanan, for submission to the Government for a review of the decision. September 2d.

The church parade of the Eriendly Societ’es in the Valley at St. Mark’s church this morning was mo'.t numerously attended, fully one hundred members being present. Headed by the band, the Eorcrters led the procession to the cbnrch, the Oddfe'lows being in attendance on the return march. The Rev, W. T. Western preached an appropriate and impressive sermon from the words “ Men, brethren, fathers.” There worespecial psalms and hymns su : table to the occasion, and the church was full, a good many of the Native race being among the congregation.
