Messrs Charles Pownall and Co., scriveners, report the money market unchanged, rates of interest continuing to rule from 6 to 7 per cent. Without any excessive amount of capital offering for mortgage investment, and a contracted demand, the transactions of importance that have been negotiated during the preceding month are very limited, SHARE REPORT. Although the share market has he m quiet during the last month, prices have nob materially receded ; we may look for reduction in those stocks which have another market than New Zealand, as money is becoming firmer in Australia, meantime rates here are unaltered. Several new Companies aro announced, which present a reasonable outlet for Investors. STOCKS, SHARES. &c. 2nd Dec., 1881.
