KARORI-MAKARA HIGHWAY BOARD.

TO THE EDITOR OP THE NEW ZEALAND TIMES. Sir, —In looking over your issue of to-day I was again'reminded by a rating notice informing the ratepayers that ' the rate-book would be open for inspection at Mr. H. Page's, Karori. Now, sir, on calling at the abovenamed address this afternoon I found that no rate-book was .there, so I had my trouble for nothing. Sir, can you inform me whether notices of such importance to ratepayers and the public in general are only published as a matter of form, or is it the wilful neglect of the clerk of the Highway Board 1 Sir, if it is the latter’s neglect it is time that a more reliable person should fulfil such au important position. By inserting these few remarks you will greatly oblige.—l am, &0., A Karori Ratepayer.
