At the nomination for members at Wanganui on Tuesday last, Captain Campbell, Messrs. Matt, Fox, Handley, Kells, and Richards, were severally proposed ns candidates. “All the candidates,” says the H'anyanui Chronicle, “pledged themselves to support the Featherston policy and Government, except Mr. Kells, who only gave a qualified support.” The show of hands was declared to be in favor of Captain Campbell, Messrs. Watt, Fox. and Kells; Mr. Handley- demanded a poll, and Mr. Richards retired. The polling took place on Thursday.
