PROPOSED EXHIBITION TROTTING - MEETING. - CHEISTGHUECII, March 7. At a meeting of the New Zealand

Trotting Association to-day, the president, Mr. P. Selig, suggested that the < clubs of New Zealand should combine to organise a special meeting to be held in Ghristchuren during the exhibition. He thought the clubs in Christchurch would willingly fall in with such a proposal, and that those clubs in other part® of the colony which could afford it would contribute to the funds of such meeting. He considered it would be quite within the objects of the association to subsidise such meeting. They might give a cup for some special race. It was decided to circularise affiliated clubs on the matter.
