PLECKVILLE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) A very pretty wedding took place at Pleckville on Wednesday, the 6th inst., when Miss Annie Caroline Petersen, third daughter of Mr Hemming Petersen, was united in the holy bond© of matrimony to Mr Andrew Gardner Paul, of Tamaki. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a royal blue travelling dress trimmed with white silk, with a white velvet hat and a bouquet of white camelias, the gift of Mrs S. Knight, of Lower Hutt, and was attended by the Misses J. and H. Petersen, sisters of the bride who wore navy blue dresses, with white straw hats and bouquets of yellow flowers. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome gold brooch, and to the bridesmaids gold bangles. Mr Henry Petersen, brother of the bride, acted as best man, and the service was conducted by the Rev. James McCaw, of Martinborough. At the conclusion of the ceremony the guests retired to the diningroom, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast was spread. The usual toasts were honoured, the health of the bride being proposed by the Rev. James McCaw, and Mr J. Parlane. The happy couple left by the midday train for their future home at Dannevirke, amid shower© of rice and good wishes for their future life.
