In the ladies’ putting competition Miss Campbell and Miss BrathAvaite tied Avith 8 each, and in playing off they again tied. On the third trial Miss BrathAvaite Avon. The men's four-ball bogey was won by E. C. Pearce and F. C. Perry, A. A. Kennedy and W. J. Peacock second, J. Beatson, senr., and T. Crosse third. NAPIER, September 10. The Napier Golf Club’s tournament was concluded on Saturday. In the final for the ladies’ championship Miss Scott (Dunedin) played up to her usual staudard and beat Mrs Perry (Napier) by 4up and 3to play. Mrs Perry played well, but not up to her Friday’s game. In the final for the men’s championship H Kawhi (Napier) played a grand game, getting 4 up on J. Harold (Wanganui) at the eighteenth hole. In the second round Harold improved, but Kawhi maintained his lead, and at the fifteenth hole won by 4 up and 3 to play. The ladies\ final Bogey Handicap was won by Mrs A. A. Kennedy, with Miss E. Davis second and Miss Todd third. The men’s final Bogey Handicap fell to 11. J- Smith, E. S. Pearce being second, and F. L. Gordon third. In the mixed foursomes Miss N. Rutledge and 11. J. Smith won. Miss Gorrie and A. A. Kennedy being second, and Mis? Could and J. F. .Tardrne third. Ac the conclusion of play hearty cheers were given lor the two champions.
