The annual general meeting of the Wellington Polo Club was held last Friday at the Occidental Hotel. Mr D. G. A. Cooper was in the chair. The secretary and treasurer submitted the bal-ance-sheet for the pagt year, and io was adopted by the meeting, accompanied by a resolution thanking Mr Levin (the secretary and treasurer) for his energy and care of the club’s interests. The following officers were elected: —Patron, his Excellency the Governor; president, Mr J. B. Coates; vice-presidents, the Hon T. W.. Hislop, Mr H. D. Bell, Mr Martin Chapman, Mr R. T. Turnbull, Mr D. J. Nathan, and Mr J. F. Mills; captain, Mr C. P. iSkerrett; committee, the captain, Mr D. G. A. Cooper, and Mr H. F. Johnston ; secretary, Mr R. L. Levin; umpires, General Babington, Captain Campbell, Mr A. D. Crawford, and Mr R. E. Bennett; ground committee, Mr F. G. Grace, Mr P. J. Nathan, the secretary, and captain. The meeting expressed thanks to the ladies who had provided the club during the season with tea. It was decided to open the season on October 7th.
