BULLS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Last Friday night a ball was held in the Town Hall in aid of the funds of the Bulls S'ohool Committee. Although the weather was somewhat threatening there was a large attendance. The music, the floor, and th© supper, were all that could be desired. Mrs T. McGregor and Mrs Homes are specially to be thanked for the excellence of the supper. I understand that after all expenses are paid there will be a Substantial sum to add to th© funds.

The School Committee has lately spent a considerable sum in improving the buildings and grounds. The Education Board has assisted, and altogether about <£4o has been expended for the comfort and benefit of the children.

The lambing season is now well on, and so far the weather has been favourable and the percentage promises to be a high one. Grass is growing rapidly. The Post Office is being 'removed into temporary premises while, the new brick office and residence isrf in course of conduction. The contractor is expected to start next week, and the new building should be ready for occupation in about six months. It will be a great boon to the public, and a comfort and convenience to the officers. A telephone exchange has been established here in cop*, nection with the Post and Telegraph office. Business men find it a great convenience.
