TAIHAPE.

One of the prettiest weddings Taihape has ever known, took place on Wednesday week, at the Anglican Church. The contracting parties 'being Mr Leonard Edgar Aldridge, eldest son of Mr J. H. Aldridge to Miss Daisy Foster, second daughter of Mr A. Foster, both of Taihape. The Rev Clarkson officiated. The bride looked charming in a pretty blue travelling dress with white silk trimmings, pretty blue hat, trimmed with blue shaded ribbon and yellow roses. She was given array by her father The chief bridesmaid, Miss Mabel Aldridge were a very pretty brown dress with picture hat. She was attended by Mieses Dorris and Reggie Foster who were daintly attired in cream silk with white silk hats. Mr Fred. Sommerville acted as best man. Mr Carver effectively rendered ‘“The Voice That Breathed O'er Eden,” and the wedding march was played by Mrs Hedges. Mrs Foster afterwards entertained the relatives and friends at an afternoon tea, at which they drank the health of the happy couple. Mr and Mrs L. E. Aldridge left on the honeymoon by the 3.35 p.m. train mid showers of rice and good wishes. The plans of the new post office are at last to hand. It is to be a two-storied brick structure with a .very pretty tower in the right hand corner. The building is to be finished in eight months from the day the contract is let. It will not only bo a. comfoi't to the officials but. a great boom to the general public.
