Macfarlane, well known as a progressive member of the Petone Borough Council; Wellington Central, Mr A. H. Cooper, secretary, of the Trades and Labour Council and workers’ representative on the Conciliation Board ; Wellington East, Mr D. McLaren, member of the Wellington City Council; Newtown, Mr A. H. Hindmarsh, barrister and solicitor and member of the City Council.
