SPRINGS DELIGHTS

(To the Editor, “N.Z. Mail.”) Sir, —The glorious season of cricket is nigh at hand, and it behoves all enthusiasts to unite their best efforts to procure a ground specially of their own, and future generations will bless their progenitors for their keen perceptive foresight; for if there is any good latent talent within a lad, it will be found in the liking for the noble pastime of cricket, which will develop aspirant youths into quick, spry, active, alert young men, and also train them to be generous to each other, under proper control and cultivation. Importers of material, together with other generous supporters, will be sure to render liberal monetary aid to secure sound minds in sound bodies. So mote it be! Boni pueri discunt. Revive tbe smouldering embers of “THE ASHES.” Aug. 28th.
