The Karori Rifle Club continued its weekly competition on Saturday last for trophies presented by Messrs Bunting and Kernot. H. Plimmer secured a first f Meg in” for Mr Bunting’s, and G. The A and B classes of the above company commenced the first competition on Saturday, at Trentliam range, for a fresh lot of trophies, the conditions and number of trophies being the same as previously. There was not the usual number of competitors owing to members being tired after the week’s camp. Some very good scores were made at 500vds, but when the 700vds liange was reached the tricky wind and bad light beat competitors. The following were the best scores made: —

For the Boyle Cup, which carries with each' win an extra, trophy valued at £2 2s, and which is decided by the winner having the highest grand aggregate in all matches fired for trophies during the season, the contest is likely to be keen between Privates Lacey and Love, the latter, who has been shooting consistently having now come within five points of’ the former, who had previously a strong lead. There are four more competitions to go which means seventy-two shots, the aggregates at present being —Private Lacey 757, Love < 52.
