RECENT WEDDING

PETERS—SI MP SON. A. very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday last at St. Mary of the Angels' Church, Boulcott street Wellington, when Mies Alice Mary Simpson, daughter of Mr George Simpson, formerly of Greymouth, was married to Mr Paul Peters, of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Express Company. The Rev. Archdeacon Bevay performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her mother. Miss Annie Simpson and Miss Cries it? Ross acted as bridesmaids. The bridegroom was attended by Mr S. J. Moran as be-t man, and Mr T. Wells acted as groomsman. The bridesmaids looked exceedingly sweet in pale blue voile with large picture hats and shower bouquets, the gifts of the bridegroom. The “'Wedding March” was played by Mr D. Kenny.

After the ceremony a large number of guests assembled at the residence of the bride’s mother in Marjoribank street, where wedding breakfast was partaken of m a large marquee erected on the lawn. Mr and Mrs Peters left early in the afternoon for the Hurt, en route via Auckland to Sydney, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was of brown voile, with white silk facings and large picture liat to match.
