Some-indication of Wellington’s taste in fiction may be gathered from the fact that last year Hie most popular author far as the public library, is concerned was Guy Boothby. The twenty-five stories of his available there were issued 1184 times. Second in popularity was J. Hocking; third, L. T. Meade; fourth. S R. Crockett. Conan Doyle was twelfth on the list and Maiie Corelli thirteenth. At the Newtown Library, Rosa N. Carey headed the list, J. Hocking was second, and Mrs Henry Wood third. Guy Boothby was seventh at Newtown. *
