There were two matches of football played last Saturday, the senior match, which -was a great event, having been played between the Wanderers and Levin. There was a large attendance of spectators, who '‘barracked” until hoarse and their throats failed them. During the first spell two Levin players got hurt — Carroll and Dunn. The game ended in favour of the Wanderers by 12 ppints to 3.' Mr Allen was referee, and Messrs J. C. Burns and J. Broughton line umpires. The junior match, which was played at Weraroa between tbe Juveniles and those of Otaki resulted by Otaki winning by 18 points to 3. The weather is unsettled, and from appearances we will be having heavy rainfalls with occasional gusts of wind.
