BUNNYTHORPE

(From Our Own Oorrespoiixleiit.)

There are serious complaints about the way young lads are allowed to wander about with guns. Some of these juveniles are positively dangerous, slipoting indiscriminately across roads or any where fancy leads them, and Sunday is the favourite day for sport, rendering it anything but a peaceful clay. Our respected resident Mrs H. Wiggins, senr., is seriously ill, and her condition is causing great anxiety to her friends. As a proof of the value of property here and liow it is advancing in value, I am informed on good authority that a corner section in our village of close on two acre? was disposed of recently for <£2oo, anu a section of half an acre with a good house and sundry outbuildings changed hands at <£255. All this is highly satisfactory and shows that wo are progressing rapidly. Steps are being taken, it is understood, to form a cliess and draughts club. Our newly-formed quadrille assembly will open the season on Wednesday next. Both of these affairs have been well-sup-ported during past winters, so that no ilonbt they will be equally well patronised this winter.

The approach to cur Public Library has been improved. The improvement was greatly needed. The weather is glorious, and beautiful rains have fallen. There is daily genial sunshine and plenty of grass. Growing crop 3 are looking exceedingly well
