Messrs Abraham and Williams’s sales during the week comprised Hunterville, Otaki, and Palmerston, besides a clearing sale on account of Mr E. W. Collins, or Kairanga. - At Palmerston we had a medium entry of sheep, which sold freely. The cattle included, a line of well-bred bullocks from Ruanui, which brought a good average of <£6 10s 6d. Young cattle sold at higher rates. There was a large attendance of buyers at our Hunterville sale. All claases of sheep again met with a brisk demand, and with the exception of a line of 665 2tooth wethers with high reserve, a full yarding was easily disposed of, in most cases beyond owners’ reserves. Pigs, slips 9s 6d to 15s 6d. At Otaki—Fat and forward ewes 13s lOd, ewes in lamb 13s 7d, small wetliers 12s Id, store ewes 11s lOd, lambs 7s 7d to 10s 6d; fat cows (light) £5 6s, heifers £4 11s to £4 12s 6d, dairy cows £4 2s 6d to £6 J7g 6d. store cows £4 Is,' heifers in calf £5 6s, weaners 23s 6d to 335. At Hunterville —Weaners 27s to 43s 6d, 2yr steers £4 Is to £4 11s, 18mos steers £3 12s 6d. mixed yearlings 48s, heifers in calf £3 9s to £4 10s, dairy cows £5 ss, fat cows .£4 12s to £6 12s 6d, fat bullocks £6 13s; lambs 5s 7d to 9s 9d, ewes in lamb 9s 6d to 12s lid, empty ewes 9s 6d, forward ewes 11s 9d, fat and forward ewes 13s 4d, fat ewes 14s lid, 2th wethers 15s, mixed 2ths 11s 4d.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Palmerston North, report as follows: —During the week we had sales at Himatangi and Palmerston North. • At Himatangi there was a fair yarding of cattle, which wore in moderate demand, although high reserves prevented a great deal of business being done." Cattle: Small weaners 23s to 275, good weaners £3 to £3 10s, 15-months steers £3 ss, 18-months steers £3 12s 6d to £3 16s, yearling heifers £3 5s to £3 7s, heifers in calf £1 16s to £5 12s 6d, springing heifers £5, cows in calf £4 5s to £4 10s, forward cow# £4 to £4 16s, store cows £2 Is to £3 11s, fat cows (lisrht) £4 17s 6d to £5 2s 6d. fat heifers £5 16s to £6 Is, forward bullocks £6 to £6 Is, fat heifers £4 18s to £6, 2-year steers £4 2s 6d, springing cows £5 10s to £7 10s.
