MAURICEVILLE

(From Our Own Correspondent.) At present wo are having beautiful wea cher lor this time of the year, but the past week has been cold and stormy. - The Mauriceville School was examined a few days ago by the Board’s inspector, and the results were satisfactory in all classes. Mr F. Rummer is hopeful that a payable seam of coal will be found on his section. Present indications are encouraging, and the work of tunnelling will be continued for some time. The new road to Mauriceville West is aim st completed and I understand will shortly be opened for traffic. Mr T. Hillas has purchased the section of land" opposite the railway from Mr A. Brodersen. The section comprises about 100 acres of good land which will be used for sheep grazing.
