TWO THOUSAND GUINEAS STAKES. LONDON. April 27. At the Newmarket spring meeting the following was the result of The Two Thousand Guineas Stakes, of 100 sovs each, for entire eolts and fillies foaled in 1903 ; colts 9, fillies 8.9; the owner of the second to receive 400 sovs, and the owner of the third 20(3 sovs out of the stakes. Stanley’s br f Flarnma, by Florizel Ili—Hand Grenade ... 3 [Pretty Poly last season proved the best of her age and sex. She started nine times and won on each occasion. She won the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster, in which race St. Amaut -(winner
of the Two Thousand Guineas) filled third place. The latter also acted as runner-up to Pretty Po-My in the Middle Park Plate. Her other successes included the Maul ten Stakes, _ Criterion Stakes and Cheveley Park Stakes at the N:emnaxkeit October meeting, and Autumn Breeders’ Foal Plate at the ManrChester September meeting. She was not entered in the Two Thousand Guineas or Derby, but claims engagement in the Oaks Stakes. Out of five starts last season Leucadia was once successful, in the Ham Stakes at the Goodwood July meeting. Fhunma also scored one win last season —in the Tnenniail Produce Stake®, at the Newmarket October meeting.]
