FEILDING NOTES

The Feilding people were very lucky in having lovely weather for the Easter holidays. Thero was a very largo attendance at the race meetings on Easter Monday and Tuesday. This meeting is considered one of the most popular and largely attended on the coast, just upon £20,000 being put through the totalisator this time. Many pretty frocks were worn. Some I noticed included:— Mrs D. Wilson (Palmerston), grey costume. Mrs Hankins, dark coat and skirt. Mrs Elliot Warburton, lovely coat of caracul. Mrs Oldershaw, green Russian coat and skirt, red hat. Mrs Carr, pale blue frock. Miss Bailey, violet costume. Miss Bailey, black. Mrs H. Bailey, green Eton costume. Mrs A. Fitziierbert, navy blue costume. Mrs Shcrwill, black dress, black toque. Mrs Matbeson, pink blouse and skirt. Miss Mabon, violet costume, black toque. Miss E. Mahon, white. Mrs Johnston, brown Zibelino pmk and brown bat. Mrs G. Pliarazyn, pink and blue. Mrs C. Halcombe brown and blue Russian coat and skirt. Mrs Revington Jones, cream serge, brown and fawn hat. Mrs Fry, brown and orange costume. Mi'S G. Goodbehere, pink blouse, dark skirt. Mrs H. Levett was also present. Mrs and Miss Scott, the latter in red and black. Mrs Haggitt Mrs Mcßeth. Tbo Westminster Glee and Concert Party appeared here on Tuesday evening, each item being much enjoyed. The part singing was beautiful, without any accompaniment. A harvest thanksgiving service was held at St. John’s last Sunday, the deceptions being very nice. Miss Oliver sang an offertory solo. Susrf.
