At tho Addington market to-day there were fair yardings, and the attendance war; good. Fat cattle—-145 head were yarded. Steers. £6 15s to £lO 7s 6d; heifers, £5 5s to £ll 7s 6d; cows. £5 5s to £lO 12s. Beef ruled at from 24s to 27s per 1001 b. Fat sheep—Tho entry was smaller than has been the case recently, bub included a fair proportion of prime quality ewes and wethers. There was keen competition all round, best ewes being fully a shilling dearer than last week, and wethers firm at late rates. Wethers, extra heavy :.18s 9d to 20s, freezing IGs to 18s 6d: wethers and maiden ewes, 13s Id to 17s lid; owes, freezing 13s to 16s, butchers’ 10s to 17s lOd, extra heavy to 19s Id; merino wet hers 10s 3d to 15s 6d. Fat lambs —There was an average ; yarding, comprising several large dines suitable for export. For all good -sorts there was a brisk demand at late rates. At Burnside to-day, 217 cattle were yarded, prices 'ruling about 5s to 10s lower. DUNEDIN GRAIN MARKET. - DUNEDIN, April 22. Wheat—-There is good inquiry for good milling, and fair business is being clone. Farmers, however, are holding very tight!v. Nearly all transactions arc in Northern, not much of the Southland crop being in a condition for milling. Shippers’ ideas of the value of fowl feed are below those of holders’. Prime milling, 4s 2d to 4s 3d ; medium, 4s to 4s Id ; best fowl wheat, 3s lOd to 4s; broken and damaged, 3s 6d to 3s 9cl. sacks extra.
