The friends of the Duchess d’Uzes have determined to present her With a wirk of art on the occasion of the taking of her thousandth stag. It portrays a “hat-l’eau” on a mirrored surface, reRenting a poil, where is a stag at his gasp, amid the hiuilds.-—“Figaro/’ s -- ' ' n degrees north of the Equator a degree of longitude is miles across. In latitude 80 the degree of longitude is but 12 miles in length.
