MINING NEWS
The Mosquito Gold Dredging Company has just purchased the timber of the Brandy Jack’s Company, and steps are now being taken to have it carted as quickly as possible to the claim, so that a start can be made with the pontoons. The machinery of the company is all well on in course of construction, and some of it has already been delivered and is now at Greymouth.. The Grey County Council has, practically on behalf of the company, entered into contracts to complete the last stage of the road to the claim. Too first portion is already finished- A site of fifteen acres has been cleared in the claim, and will be burnt off next nionthu By then everything should be in readiness for making a start with tha actual building of the dredge.
