Mr Riddell (tenor), and Mr (bass)-,.".; Miss Dart sang '-'I Cannot Sing the Mrs Jackson. "Hearts and. Homes" ;Miss Howard. "Needles and Pins".; Mr Price,, "There'll Come a Time" and (befing vociferously encored) ' c Jack Crawford." " ; Mr Moon recited "The Loss of the Birkenhead;" and as an encore." "The Midnight Cry." Miss Cfagg played a pianoforte solo; and there were games, a.s well as a capital coffee supper to refresh the inner man. Mrs Mcßory. of Dun'edin, who. represented 'Foul Play" with "a .of fowls playing. The guessing prize;fell to Miss EC Philpotts'. Residence," with >a: pawa-shell badge - ; Mrs Sealy. "Wormwood," with a piece of worm-eaten', wood; ;Mr Anderson, 'The Heavenlv Twins,!' a Chinaman and two china dolls; Mr S. Fell,;; "A Day's Work," with a half-darned stocking. Others were : "An Endless Chain," "GreatExpectations," "The Woman in White," "Satanstoe.'-' etc., etc." The prizes were a photo frame and a photo of Picton.- The Misses Fell received their guests in white muslin, trimmed with lace and insertion. Mrs Fell, black silk, with 'pink vest, covered with black lace.- ." '• - Mrs Riddell,, black satin skirt,, shot silk blouse, trimmed with cream guipure. Mrs Stow, black silk. . • : ' Mrs E. Kenny, black. Mis G. Kenny,black skirt, and white silk bodice. Mrs Thompson, pale blue costume. Mis Sealy black dress, with red trimmings. , Mi-s- ' Mcßory," blue dress, with steel trimmings. . Miss Seyinour, black.satin skirt, whito silk boclice, with chiffbn fichu. Miss- Speed., black velvet skirt, pale silk bodice. Avith tace. , .' Kenny, and Masters Felband Stow.': :• There was a good deal of fun over guessing'the titles, as well" as a little singing and' music, so that everybody agreed that they had spent an enjoyable evening.
