During his speech at the Exchange Hall on Monday evening Mr F. Pirani, M.H.R., is reported to have said, “Every letter I post is examined to see where it goes to.” This was either a reckless or malicious remark, against the truth of which the Postal Department enters an emphatic and absolute denial.
