No entry will be received for any race except on this condition: that all disputes, claims and objections shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards or those they may appoint. Their decision on all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. 2. All races on this programme shall be open to Hacks only. 3. "Hack" shall mean a horse that has never won an advertised race exceeding the value of 40 sovs at time of start (Hack and Hunter races [excepted) and that is not nominated for a Derby, Guineas, St. Leger or Sapiing Stakes at time of start. 4. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary at Pahiatua, entrance money enclosed, with name, age at time of entry, pedigree and performance of horse, name of owner, colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 3 sovs. No Nomination or Acceptance will be received on any pretence whatever, unless accompanied with the necessary fee. 5. When two or more horses start the property of the same owner a distinguishing colour must be worn. 6. All persons intending to withdraw horses must give notice to the Secretary only, one half-hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shali pay a fine of 5 sovs to the race fund. 7. All races to be run under the New Zealand Eules of Racing. 8. Horses " walking over" will only receive one-half of the stake. 9. Horses that have won a race of the advertised value of 20 sovs or over after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 51b; of 45 sovs or over, a penalty of 101 b. 10. All entries and nominations must be in the hands of the Secretary at the time and place as advertised. Post-marks will not be received. ■ 11. Entries by telegram to be confirmed in writing by following mail. 12. In case of protest the same must be lodged with the Secretary 15 minutes after the race has been run, with a deposit of 2 sovs, such deposit to be forfeited if the protest be found frivolous or vexatious. Nominations dose on TUESDAY, the 15th December, 189(3, at 8 p.m. Weights declared on TUESDAY, the 22nd December, 189 G. Acceptances close on THURSDAY, the 31st December, at 8 p.m. A.
