In the bullock weight-guessing competition at the A. and P. Association's show Mr E. Godfrey, of Manaia, won the first prize (two guineas) by guessing the correct weight—--8321b. The second prize (.£1) was divided between Messrs fl. A. Scales and W. H. Wallace, who guessed 8301 b each. The lowest guess was 6751 b, and the highest 12001 b.
