The result of the nautical enquiry in connection with the recent stranding 1 of the ketch Kestrel at Kaiapoi was that the Court found the pilot wholly to blame for giving- the captain signals to come in when there was not sufficient water. Weasels are reported to be playing havoc with chickens and ducks at Hastings.
