MASONIC.
The joint installation of the Grand Alystic Temple, Council General 32nd degree, and the Wellington Rose Croix, Chapter No. 14, was held at the Oddfellows’ Hall, Lambton quay, last week, and was successful. The work of the installation ceremony of the Mystic Temple was efficiently carried out by the 111. Bro. J. H. Pagni, 33rd degree, Grand Representative of the Sovereign Sanctuary of: England and Ireland; whilst that of the Chapter of Rose Croix was performed by 111. Bro. J. Lachman, 32nd degree (tho newly-installed Grand Master), assisted by the Grand Officers of the Alystic Temple. The following were the several officers installed : —Grand Alystic Temple, 32nd degree, P.P. Grand Master of Light, 111. Bro. J. Lachman, 32nd degree; Sub. P. Grand Orator, 111. Bro. F. Silver, 32nd degree ; Sub. Ps. Grand Treasurer and Annalist, 111. Bro. J. H. Pagni, 33rd degree; Sub. P. Grand Keeper of Rites, ill. Bro. J. Gentles, 32nd degree ; Sub. P. Grand Expert, 111. Bro. C. Antico, 32nd degree ; Sub. P. Master of Ceremony, 111. Bro. A. J. Powley, 32nd degree ; Sub. P. Grand Guard of Council, 111. Bro. W. Gifldns, 32nd degree. Of the Wellington Rose Croix Chapter, the following were installed : —AI. Wise, 111. Sir Knight, A.. Smart, 31st degree; Resp. S.W., Sir Knight, 11.I 1 . W. Rowe, IStli degree; Resp. J.W, Sir Knight, G. Cochrane, 18th degree Orator, Sir Knight, J. F. Ivuch, ISth degree; Treasurer, 111. Sir Knight, C. Antico, 32nd degree (re-elected) ; Secretary, 111. Sir Knight, J. An adjournment was then made to another room, where the usual Alasonic toasts were drunk in bumpers of champagne, thus bringing to a close a most pleasant evening.
