Capetown, May 27. Colonel Plummer has dispersed LOUO Matabele after two attacks, killing many. Cai'ktown, -May 28. Colonel I'liimi ' has defeated a third
impi. The troopers carried the position at a gallop, and the natives lost heavily. Mr liliodes expects a decisive battle to be fought shortly.

Colonel Napier's flying column, three hundred strong-, has defeated fifteen hundred natives,. Tho column co-operates with six linn-) dred troops from Fort Salisbury for the
purpose of driving the Matabeles from the Matoppo Hills. Mr Rhodes has promised that the Chartered Company will compensate the settlers, form a strong permanent polico, and build forts for the protection of the inhabitants.
He specially thanked the Afrikander Corps for their assistance, and promised to allot the burghers land.
