Speaking in tho Legislative Assembly, the Premier, Air Reid, said that, besides making permanent provision for tho family of the late Sir Henry Parkos, the Government intended to ask Parliament to voto £IOOO to place Lady Parkos in a comfortable home.
With reference to tho proposal which tho New South Wales Ministry has decided to submit to Parliament for permanent provision for tho family, it is believed that a sum of £.BO a year in respect of each of tho five children would be sufficient for their maintenance and education ; and it is also proposed to make an allowance of £IOO a year to Lady Parkos. Tho proposal is that, in tho case of tho children, tho grants should be continued until tlioy had readied such an ago that they would bo able to earn their own livelihood.
