Capetown, May IS Mr S. V. Cloete, an English Afrikander, temporarily succeeds Sir Jacobus Do Wet as British Agent in Pretoria. It is stated that Mr Chamberlain will consult Sir Hercules Robinson prior to deciding the permanent appointment. The Johannesburg Times published what is said to ho afac simile copy of Dr Jameson’s plans for tho seizure of Pretoria. At tho funeral of Mr Grey, one of tho Reform Committee who committed suicide while insane, the corte<jc was a very lengthy one.
