London, May 12. Colonel Egerton lias been appointed to command tho Indian contingent which is to be sent to the Soudan. Rome, May 14. Fifteen thousand Italians are returning from Erythrea. With tlm consent of King Monel ok, a caravan with supplies has been sent to tho Italian prisoners in Shoa. Cairo, May 16. Tho Khalifa is awaiting a supply of recruits with whom ho intends to largely reinforce tho troops at Dongola, Kassala and Suukin.
Ho has moved the Berber force to Dongola.
