THE LIGHT WEIGHT ABUSE.
PROPER CREDIT GIVEN TO THE
NEW ZEALAND TIMES
Tho credit of tho intended introduction by Ministers of an Act dealing with the general question of light weight, it would seem, says tho Napier News, must rest with the New Zkala.vu Times. Some articles recently appeared in that journal on the subject, and the particulars given as to the extent to which tho practice prevailed of welling goods of lighter weight than was represented naturally attracted widespread interest. The Government has received a report from the Commissioner of Police in reference to this matter, and more especially in regard to coloniallytinned articles, and has decided to bring in a Bill dealing with tho question next session.
