London, May 6. The wool market is unchanged. Homo buyers are inactive, but those from the Continent are purchasing strongly. Later. Wool—Medium and best sorts slightly firmer; faulty, weak, London, May S. At tho wool sales, prices are unchanged. There is fair competition. At the sales, Duuedin brand brought 10.U1. London, May 10. At the wool sales yesterday good qualities were firm, hut inferior were bad, with a downward tendency. The sales close on the Kith inst. Sydney, May 9. At the wool sales the easier feeling which has pervaded the London market has communicated itself to the local market. Tho fall in scoureds may be computed at a farthing per pound, while for low sorts the decline is even more.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) are in receipt of the following cablegram from their London office, dated May 01 h :—Wool.— Since the close of last sales greasy, washed and scoured merino medium and inferior are Mto Id per lb lower. Scoured merino super, fine washed and scoured and medium greasy crossbred are id per lb lower. Washed merino super, and fine greasy crossbred are Id per lb lower. Medium washed and scoured crossbred and greasy super, medium and inferior merino lambs are \d per lb lower. Greasy crossbred lambs' wool is h\ per lb higher. Scoured crossbred is par to .Id per lb lower. Coarse greasy washed ami scoured crossbred are par to .Id per lb lower. Slipe has declined id per lb. Crossbred market is easier. Competition by both Home and foreign buyers is active, except for wools of a faulty character, which are neglected. There is no American demand. Up to date (39,000 bales have boon sold, and 9000 withdrawn.

Messrs .Murray, Roberts and Co. have received the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated oth May : Market very irregular; largo quantity bought in. Compared with closing rates of last London sales coarse crossbred market has declined a shade ; fine, 5 to 7.' per cent. ; scoured, faulty, 10 to 15 per cent ; faulty and inferior descriptions 10 per cent. Messrs Levin and Co., Limited, have received from their agents, Messrs Dalgoty and Co., Limited, the following cablegram, dated London, the Bth May :—" Tho tone of tho wool market is rather firmer. As at present arranged, the sales will last until tho Kith May."
