MRS MASON'S SOCIAL.
MrsH. B.Mason gave the second social of her season at the Masonic Hall, Boulcott street, on Thursday, April 20th. < There were a great many present. Dancing was kept up until <2 a.m. During the evening Mrs Woodmass contributed two solos, " Marguerite,,, for which she received an encore° and a bouquet, and "The Golden City," in which her rich contralto voice was heard at its best. Mrs Moore also sang " The Lover and the Bird" in a sweet soprano voice and received an emphatic encore, bur, owing to a severe cold, did not respond. Those present also had a special treat when Mr Wallace (a tenor singer lately from London) contributed "Molly's Carnival," and for an unmistakable encore gave " Come into the Garden, Maud." "Mr Bitson also gave an exhibition of his skill as a dep dancer, and was warmly applauded. Mrs 11. B. Mason accompanied tho songs. Some of the dresses worn were very pretty. Mrs Watson, black satin; Mrs 11. B.Mason, black velvet; Mrs Woodmass, lemon silk with crimson and tea roses; Mrs Moore, black satin and dark red flowers ; Mrs A. Hern, white and heliotrope ; Miss Woods, cream and fawn velvet; Miss Keilly, brown velvet and pink chiffon ; Miss Griffin, white satin; Mrs Short, black; Miss Bunting, white and flowers; Miss Short, white and green ; Mrs Roberts, black and red shot silk ; Mrs Schoch, black satin and lace. Mr A. Hern was M.C., and Mr Mawson, of Cuba street, caterer.
