NOT A LEPER.
With reference to tho reported caso of leprosy at Sydney somo days ago, tho President of tho Board of Health givo3 the following particulars regarding tho suspected leper:—"The man, a Chinese gardener at Enfield, was seen by the chief medical inspector of tho board, Dr Ashburton Thompson, who was unable to certify that tho man was a leper, but suggested that from his condition he would Tie the better of hospital treatment for a little while, during which ho could also lie under observation. He was therefore treated at tho Coast Hospital for six days, during the whole of which tine he wa<: under medical observation, but at the end of this period it was d-terminod that ho was not a leper. Ho was suffering from a skin disease—psoriasis—which sometimes requires close observation to bo distinguished from certain phases of leprosy."

When tho .subject was dug up, he was weak, but otherwise seemed none the worse.
