The St. Pancras Vestry, London, have asked tlio Local Government Board to promote legislation providing for the registration and supervision of ice-cream vendors. From an analytical report it appeared that, in addition to the objectionable materials of which many ice creams were composed, and the unhealthy conditions under which they were made, the water used for various purposes in connection with the business was very often foul, and that the filthy conditions under which cheap iee creams were vended constituted a public daD^er.
