The annual general meeting of the St. Patrick’s Dramatic and Literary Club was largelj attended. Tho report and balancesheet, which showed a very satisfactoiy state of affairs, were unanimously adopted. 'J'ho election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Rev Father Patterson ; vice-president, Mr Donnelly; lion secretary, Mr J. L. Prendergast ; committee, Messrs Henry Gamble, Maclnny, Corcoran, Grcany, Brophy and Hanlon. It was decided to open the season on the 28th ilist. Tho Pohangina County Council has appointed Mr D. Sinclair engineer at a salary of .£175 per annum, aud Mr Thomas Watson, clerk, treasurer and rate collector at a salary of JC9O per annum.
