The establishment of a cottage hospital at Levin was the proposal discussed at a meeting on Saturday night in that township. It was decided to ask the chairman oi' tho County Council to call a meeting of the ratepayers to consider the advisableness of applying to tho Wellington Hospital Board to erect a cottage hospital at Levin, All tho flags for British ships of war, except the Royal standards, are made in the Government dockyards, and the enormous numbor required may bo judged from tho fact that at Chatham alone about 18,000 are made in a year.
