THE PRODUCE EXPORT TRADE.
Melbourne, April 21
The P. & 0. Company is making strenuous efforts to retain the export butter trade, and has invoked the assistance of several well-known agents who have hitherto financed the factories. As a eoutcr-move the Aberdeen and Lund’s lines have agreed to make the necessary advances to the producers on their shipments, thereby taking the risk of tho cargoes they carry. Sydney, April 21. The agents have raised the price of butter Id per lb.
