ADDITIONS TO THE D.I.C. STORES.

That the management of the D.I.C. again find it necessary to add to the Company's extensive premises speaks volumes for the state of business generally in Wellington, and in particular at the D.I.C. A splendid showroom 60ft by 30ft has been added to the warehouse, in which will be located carpets, floorcloths and furniture. That the public appreciate the value obtainable at the D.I.C. is proved by the manner in which the large warehouse has grown. Since its establishment in Wellington four years and a half ago, the D.I.C. has three times been further added to. Increased warehouse accommodation will mean no doubt an increased staff, and therefore a larger spending power in the city. We understand the average number employed in the Wellington warehouse is 150 persons, and their earnings spent in the city must be a consideration. To suitably mark the latest extension, the management announce a special sale, at which cheap prices for high-class goods will be the rigid rule.
